DALTON, G.A. – For my photo story, I wanted my photos to reflect the new way of living that my surrounding community adjusted to. The first photo shows a church marquee that reminds the community that they can focus their attention on Jesus, the second photo shows workers leaving the Oakwood Cafe as a customer takes advantage of the curbside services. The set of photos are from Dalton Distillery, showing how businesses have adapted to the situation and the last three photos reveal how neighbors are tending to their yards and creating work when they didn’t have their typical 9-5s.

I am a visionary—I live to express myself along with everything I take in on a daily basis through my photography. I’ve had an interest in photography since late elementary school and decided I would pursue that interest more seriously when I came to college. While at USC, I’ve photographed jewelry for an Atlanta-based designer (Funky Trunk Vintage) during my spring semester in 2019 along with photographing a handful of friends graduation shoots. I joined the Communications Team for Student Government last semester, which has allowed me to gain experience taking head shots of SG members and other campus organizations, to capture candids of groups of people as we attend events all over campus to photograph and to photograph speakers when SG brings in guest speakers for students.
