The South Carolina Democratic presidential primaries culminated on Feb. 29, 2020, but they started long before. Candidates opened offices throughout the state months ahead of the election. Throughout the midlands, candidates filled gymnasiums and smaller venues, striving to make connections while advocating their views on social issues.
